Picture logic

Nonogram

Time00:00

How to play

The numbers tell you how many cells to shade in each row and column. Get them all right and a picture appears.

  1. Each number is a run of shaded cells in that row or column, in order, with at least one empty cell between runs.
  2. Tap a cell to shade it. Switch to Cross, or right-click, to mark cells you know are empty.
  3. Drag to paint several cells in one go.
  4. A clue turns green when its row or column matches it.

About nonogram

A nonogram is a picture logic puzzle. Numbers beside each row and above each column give the lengths of the runs of shaded cells in that line. Solving every line reveals a pixel picture.

Nonograms are also known as Picross, Griddlers and Paint by Numbers. They were first published in Japan in 1987 and are named after Non Ishida, one of their inventors.
